Can I update the current image of my night light?

Yes you can. Customers who have previously ordered a custom night light can order a new photo insert. Simply go to the order screen and complete the online order form as necessary.
Also, if you currently own an U-Draw Light Kit and are looking for additional paper, you can order extra sheets so your children can continue to enjoy making new hand-drawn night light photos for you to proudly display in your night light.

Do you crop my image?
-
There are no problems associated with the simple resizing of a photo. However, there is an issue if your image does not resize to either 3 x 3.75 or 3.75 x 3, since it would not properly fit into the night light frame. If that occurs, we would either have to crop the image (remove a small portion of the sides or the top and bottom of the picture), or frame the image (similar to viewing a widescreen movie on a full screen tv). We recommend cropping in most situations and will do our best to remove as little of the picture as possible.

What markers can I use for the Glowtastic!™ U-Draw Light Kits?

We’ve tested many types of markers for our kits. We’ve found that many work quite well, although some lower quality markers have a tendency to be not as vibrant or dense as others. We offer a 10 and 20-packs of Crayola® markers which work well on both visibility and fade resistance. The set of 10 markers work best for 1-2 people, while the set of 20 markers work better for larger groups.

When can I expect delivery of my night light?

We monitor our order queue closely and start working on many orders the same day they are received. You can expect your light to be shipped normally within a week of placing the order but normally sooner. Larger orders of multiple lights can take additional time to fill. Those time estimates will be discussed at the time the order is placed.

Can any photo be used?

Certain photographs and digital images are subjected to copyright laws. When submitting pictures or digital images, please make sure that there are no copyright restrictions. All reproduction rights are the customer's responsibility and Night Light Designs assumes no liability for any copyright infringement.

Can you place text in my photo?

Yes. Some customers like to place special text in their photo’s. It can be anything from a date, a name, or even a special message or comment. We will do our best to accommodate your request. Plus, there is no extra charge for requesting text be added to your picture. To add text, just let us know in the Special Instructions section of the Payment Information page when placing your order. Please let us know if you have a preference on either font, font size or text location.

Are there any scanning or set-up fees?

No, there are absolutely no hidden fees or miscellaneous charges when placing your order. If you send us a print that requires scanning, we do that free of charge. There are never any scanning or set-up charges except for rare instances where the original photograph is too large for us to properly scan. If that happens, we will quote you a one-time scanning fee. Please note that special scanning fees are not refundable and not covered under our guarantee.

- At least 300 DPI.

Do I pay shipping costs?

Night Light Designs will pay all shipping and handling costs for all orders within the continental United States. If you choose to either insure or rush deliver your order, you will be responsible for those additional charges.

Will I pay sales tax on my order?

Illinois residents must pay the applicable Illinois sales tax.

Do quantity discounts apply to larger orders?

Absolutely. Corporate clients have a tendency to order larger quantities of custom night lights for promotional or recognition purposes. Significant quantity price discounts apply, so if you are looking to place a larger size order, we recommend you calling us to discuss your business needs. We will be glad to send you a price quote at that time.

I have outlets that face in different directions. Will my night light work in both of them?

Yes, all night lights have an adjustable plug that can be rotated to accommodate outlets in any direction.

At Night Light Designs, we want you to be happy with your purchase. You DO NOT need a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Our policy for returning your purchase is simple and there is no restocking fee. We are interested in your total satisfaction.
- Returned items must be in their original form with all materials contained.
- There is never a restocking fee.
- You do not need an RMA. In addition, you do not need to contact us but it is always a good idea if you can, to let us know that you are returning.
- Any additional rush, insurance or other shipping charges or scanning fees requested and paid for by a customer, are not refundable under this guarantee.
- Important - Be sure to ship your return by a traceable service, such as UPS, FedEx or Priority Mail with delivery confirmation, and insure it accordingly. The tracking number is your proof that we have received the return. We can not be responsible for items returned without a tracking number or delivery confirmation.

Refunds
Night Light Designs will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 30 days of our receiving your return.

Can you display one of my pictures on your website?

If you have a special picture that you would like to see posted on our website, please email us along with your request along with a digital copy of your photo. We will review your request and respond back to you as to whether or not we can post it. Please keep in mind that we get a lot of requests for posting of pictures and do our best to accommodate as many as possible.

What safety concerns should I pay particular attention to?

Please be aware of the following:
- Unplug the night light any time you make any base adjustments, picture changes or light bulb replacements.
- The night light should only be operated by or under the strict supervision of adults.
- Install the night light in a location that is out of a child's reach.
- Night lights are not toys, and should not be treated as such. Please treat in the same manner as you would any other electrical appliance.
- Do not operate the night light near any water or water source.
- If you must replace the bulb, it must not exceed 7 watts.
